Jurgen Klopp has once again criticized Liverpool's fixture list and suggested that the FA Cup should not be played on Saturdays.
Liverpool take on Brighton and Hove Albion in the fourth round on Sunday, eight days after their last game - a 0-0 draw with Chelsea.
It has been a rare off week for Klopp's men, who won the FA Cup and EFL Cup last season, but the German is still unhappy with his side's schedule.
"We're not known for going long in trophies, except last year," he said at Friday's pre-match press conference.
"Cups are tough when you play in the middle of the week. "Now we have full weeks to prepare, but with our schedule, I'm not sure if the FA Cup will be on Saturday, but we deal with it, it's not a problem now.
"Liverpool will be looking to avoid back-to-back defeats at Brighton for the first time since their 3-0 league defeat at the Amex Stadium earlier this month.
Klopp described the performance at the time as the worst he had ever seen from a team in his 1,000-game managerial career.
The Reds have since beaten Wolves 1-0 in the first round of the FA Cup and have drawn Chelsea to a tie, leaving them ninth in the league.
With his side having won just one of their five games this year, Klopp was delighted to keep clean sheets for just the second time this season.
"A clean sheet is big for us, everyone is waiting for a clean sheet, but that takes time and it starts with a clean sheet," Klopp said. "The Brighton game is still the worst game I've seen my team play, thank God we've played a few games since then.
"In the first half against Chelsea we were very disciplined and we didn't give them much. We have to do it again against Brighton, of course.
" Liverpool have won three of their five FA Cup games against Brighton, most recently winning 6-1 in the first round on 16 February 2012.
However, since the 1925-26 season, only Wolves ( 30), Sheffield United (28) and West Ham (27) have scored more than Liverpool (26).
The Reds travel to the south coast of England with many players still injured, but Klopp has confirmed that some key men are close to returning.
"Diogo [Jota], Bobby [Roberto Firmino] and Virgil [van Dijk] are two weeks away from joining training," he said.
"Arthur [Melo] is running a lot, so it may be two or three weeks before he joins the team in training, but he looks good. Fabio Carvalho is still out and he will not be ready for Sunday."
Klopp is looking to avenge the 'horrific display' of defeat to Brighton by winning the FA Cup Jurgen Klopp insists his Liverpool side have learned from their last-gasp defeat at Brighton ahead of their FA Cup clash with the Seagulls on Sunday.
Two weeks before their next game, Liverpool literally humiliated Brighton as Roberto De Zerbi's side roared to a 3-0 victory in what Klopp later described as his worst performance ever.
one of his team. When asked what he would do differently this time, Klopp laughed: "Everything, that's the plan, obviously.
"There's always a new opportunity, you can always do better, that's what we're going to do but Brighton are in a good time.
" He added: "It's still the worst game I've ever seen my team play, which hasn't changed since then. Everything is wrong, we have to change the style completely, not only against Brighton but in general.
"We did really well in moments during the next few games, the first half against Chelsea was really decent.
The second half started well but we were too excited, we weren't compact, the pressure wasn't coordinated.
Chelsea had chances, that's something we want to work on, focusing on the Brighton game. "We have a lot of respect for Brighton, for good reasons, we did before the first game too, but we have to make it harder for them, and we will."
